This state of the art training centre and facility was erected by Lombard Tyres, on the premises of their existing training centre in Krugersdorp, South Africa. Renovations and building started in earnest during early September 2011 with the designing of offices, a training room, rest rooms, a cafeteria, display area and a fully equipped technical workshop. A dedicated team from Lombard Tyres was seconded to the project to ensure that the functionality of the Training Centre is matched by high quality workmanship and the installation of state of the art equipment. Delegates were taken on a tour of the facility and demonstrations were given in the fully equipped technical workshop area. A light lunch was served in the cafeteria after which delegates were taken on a tour of Lombard Tyres retail outlets and warehouses. The main purpose of the KUMHO AFRICA TRAINING CENTRE will be to train KUMHO dealer personnel on the various levels of technical, sales and management found in a retail tyre dealership. These courses will be offered in ascending complexity, starting with a BASIC level course, progressing to an INTERMEDIATE level course and then completion on an ADVANCED level course. But probably the biggest focus of the KUMHO AFRICA TRAINING CENTRE will be to provide in-depth product knowledge to KUMHO dealers and their sales staff which in turn will increase confidence in the product and the brand in general. This is just another step to increase the footprint of KUMHO tyres in South Africa and Africa in particular. Lombard Tyres (Pty) Ltd as the importer and distributor of Kumho passenger- and light truck tyres in Southern Africa has through this initiative once again proved its loyalty and commitment to the KUMHO brand. The KUMHO AFRICA TRAINING CENTRE is expected to make a significant impact on the South African market in particular, as it is one of only a couple of training centers offering technical, sales, managerial and product related training to its dealers both locally and across borders. Cormach equipment training has been incorporated where required into the fitment and alignment curricula, but can be offered as separate courses for experienced customers wishing to change existing machines to Cormach. We advise filling your tyres with nitrogen as a substitute to air. They also run at a lower temperature, making them more durable. When tyres get warm, their inflation pressure increases. A smaller footprint can cause your tyres to lose grip.
