They received an oak tree in a small tin as a gift during the house warming party. He planted the tree next to the beautiful house and after 66 years this majestic tree is a silent witness to countless events, functions, gatherings and visits. Rosa van Wyk bought the property in 1990 and in 1997 she turned it into an exceptional guest house which she furnished in a chic and exquisite, but homely, way. Summer Place is a home away from home for many visitors. Summer Place Guest House is located in a beautiful 6 000 m² garden with a surprisingly large variety of bird species and will certainly give peace to a weary soul. There are several nature reserves, golf courses, large shopping centers and hospitals in the area. All our rooms have en-suite bathrooms and are equipped with a work station, microwave, TV, coffee & tea station, refrigerator and access to Wi-Fi. The neat and tidy rooms are furnished in an interesting, charming way that compliments the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We can also provide a lapa facility, where cool refreshments can be served.
