Farm Design Events is the event design and décor division of Farm Design, a multidisciplinary creative company. Farm Design Events focusses on creating high-profile events of all kinds. Farm Design Events has done intimate dinners for ten, beer festivals for thousands and welcome cocktail and gala dinners for hundreds, children’s parties and golfing events. Kathy Page Wood is the driving force behind Farm Design Events. Always on trend, innovative and resourceful, Kathy adds style to any event. Farm Design Events has built up a wide network of suppliers and resources. Kathy launched the high-performing fashion label Hip Hop in 1985, and built it up to be one of the few independent clothing design houses in South Africa with its own chain of stores. Kathy is a qualified in graphic design from Stellenbosch University. Her first job was art direction for ID Audio Visual. The position mostly involved tender presentations for large construction and mining companies. A glittering gala dinner for 250 international guests was held next to the big fish tank at the Two Oceans aquarium. Farm Design Events was particularly inspired by the translucent box jellyfish. For an end-of-conference celebratory party, Kathy of Farm Design Events found a stunning venue in the heart of Cape Town. Her decor for the evening was a seamless blend of Scandi chic and African style. An amazing guest list, the best wines in the country and unbelievable food, made this event a one-of-a-kind. This prestigious event was designed and installed at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) for Airbus at the IATA annual general meeting. The VIP table of Airbus Gala Dinner was set out as a long rectangular table. Flowers were kept low to allow guests good networking opportunities. Farm Design Events transformed the exhibition hall into a dinner venue.
